bl4tools.com is an independent fan-made site for Borderlands 4. We started it because the existing BL4 resources were leaving real questions on the table: the big sites stopped publishing review content months ago, Mobalytics has a thorough weapon database but no fix guides, and Fextralife — dependable for Souls-likes — is thin in the Borderlands series. We saw a gap and built around it.
Our angle: operational rigor
Three principles, not bullet points:
- Patch stamping. Every walkthrough, every weapon entry and every
Boss page carries a
verifiedForfield. We re-validate after each major patch, and old entries auto-flag a banner if the current patch differs. - Operational fix guides. Our /fix/ pages are step-by-step manuals: TL;DR up top, 5 ranked fixes with separate NVIDIA and AMD command blocks, plus a player vote so we can tell which fix actually works.
- Public methodology. We publish how we verify drop data and what we are guessing vs. what we are sure about. Read our honest limits article before relying on the Build Planner DPS numbers.
Who runs this
Three players running it as a side project. We use first names because we want to be responsive on email and social, not because we are hiding behind anonymity.

What we will not do
- Auto-generated articles. Every page on the site is hand-edited by one of us. We use tooling to format frontmatter and to scrape SHiFT codes from public Reddit threads, but words are written by people.
- Datamined plot spoilers in headlines. If we cover a leak, we tag it explicitly and gate the spoiler with a click-to-expand block.
- Copies of Gearbox in-game art. Our launch post covers what we use instead (community fair-use screenshots, original cell-shaded art).
